they build hadid`s hous as condominiums. the price was €3000.-per m²
(300 000.- to 500 000 a flat) ther was over 1000 registrations, but after finising the building, noone (noone!) was left: the flats had imossible plots (ger.:grundriss) and the walls made mpossible angles.
the place is infrastructured not very well equiped. its a bit dead end situation there, but a lot of traffic and a refuse incineration very near.
so, a universyty is near, they want to make a home for students, but the rebuild was to expensive. so they gave for rent. this days also the last leasers left. its emty now, and and has no destination yet.
the place itself is beutiful and a metro is near, but for this money you can have a nice villa in a good quarter. thats it.

But that demonstrates a bit of diference, beetween theorical architecture, and the architecture for other persons, and persons who live, that they have diferent kind of visions and needs, And the needs and the way to habitate is very important.
So sometimes great architects aren't always the better, because you can't live happyli inside your house.
My father always told me that a architect, just starts to make good architecture and learning mistakes, when he lives in a house he built.
But that will be a good history.

many beautiful buildings of Hadid are in my area. (but one of them is not to use - [link] noone can live there, because of the strange room geometry and the price. now its emty- haha)
